About Gabe Churray

Gabe is highly interested in modern styles, pop to classical. He looks forward to the opportunity to help each student dive deeper into their own understanding of music by helping them realize and achieve their personal musical goals.

In addition to piano and keyboard lessons, Gabe offers instruction in music theory and technology including music composition and production using a digital audio workstation (DAW).  

.As a performer, Gabe toured the USA, Europe, and Australia on keys and was billed with many notable artists including George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Emmylou Harris, She and Him, Grizzly Bear, and The Mountain Goats.  He has performed at many iconic venues and festivals around the world including The Sydney Opera House, The Hollywood Bowl, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Troubadour, and SXSW, as both openers and headliners.

As a composer and recording artist, Gabe produces his own original music and has collaborated with many artists including S. Carey, Califone, and No B.S. Brass. His works have been recognized with awards from pioneering American composer Steve Reich, James Madison University, the University of Minnesota, and Indaba Music.
