About Gabe Churray

Gabe is highly interested in contemporary styles, pop to classical. He looks forward to the opportunity to help each student dive deeper into their own understanding of music by helping them realize and achieve their personal musical goals. “Mr. Gabe’s” online lesson option is always available and fun too, using multiple camera angles to help students visualize hand placements, fingerings, and notes as simply as possible.

As a performer, Gabe toured the USA, Europe, and Australia on keys with Matthew E. White for his critically acclaimed record, “Big Inner”. Billed with many notable artists including George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Emmylou Harris, She and Him, Grizzly Bear, and The Mountain Goats, the group performed at many iconic venues and festivals around the world including The Sydney Opera House, The Hollywood Bowl, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Troubadour, and SXSW, as both openers and headliners.

As a composer and recording artist, Gabe produces his own original music and has collaborated with many artists including S. Carey, Califone, and No B.S. Brass. His works have been recognized with awards from pioneering American composer Steve Reich, James Madison University, the University of Minnesota, and Indaba Music.
