About Glenn Thilman

Hello, I'm Glenn Thilman. Your Drums and Percussion Teacher here at Music & Arts, Issaquah, WA.

My passion for drumming and teaching draws from 50 years of playing, performing and teaching experience. I am a second generation Musician, and Drummer. My father, Robert "Buddy" Thilman was a working professional musician and drummer for all his life. You might say, Music and Drumming are in my DNA.

My interest and study of Drums began at age 12. My dear mother, Lorraine worked at Walt Disney Studios in CA. Through her associates at Disney, she obtained a referral to my first Drum Teacher, Hack O'Brien. Hack was the father of 1950's Disney Mouseketeer, Cubby O'Brien. He put me on the path of drumming and music I'm on today.

I have had a very successful teaching career of over 30 years teaching students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. I have a proven ability to build good rapport and skills, while always being inclusive to all students. I have had a consistent ability to connect with and inspire my students. 

My daily focus and goal, is to share my knowledge and experience to all my students.
