About Gloria Palermo

Gloria Palermo, mezzo-soprano, is originally from Cocoa, Florida where she grew up singing at her local community theater and high school drama programs. Today, Gloria is a member of Opera Tampa’s Tampa Singers at the Straz Center, and regularly performs with regional companies such as Gulfshore Opera, Opera Orlando, and First Coast Opera. Gloria has a love for singing and teaching all musical styles. Her teaching goal is to give her students tools for healthy singing in all genres as well as the confidence to share their voice with the world. Gloria holds a Master’s in Music from the University of Southern California and Bachelor’s in Music from Rice University. In addition she has received her Artist Diploma from the University of Colorado Boulder, and has been an Apprentice Artist with the Santa Fe Opera and Central City Opera.
