Music Teacher, Master
Location: Westminster, CO
Speaks: English
Instructs: Flute
Education: Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance, California State University Northridge
Performance Experience: First chair flutist with numerous symphony orchestras in the Los Angeles area. U.S. National Wind Ensemble, European Tour. Walt Disney Studios, Recording Artist, cartoon music.
Teaching Experience: 20 years of experience teaching children and adults, beginners to advanced orchestral players.
Teaching Philosophy: I love teaching! Fundamentals are key. I make sure all of my students get a strong foundation in technique and rhythm... but I make it FUN! We work on setting and reaching goals by incrementally working toward more and more advanced repertoire, but we make sure to let loose and play some fun stuff to keep things interesting. Students need to be challenged, but their love of music is nurtured through finding their "voice" with their instrument.
