Performance Experience: Hunt has played many venues around the Denver/Boulder area such as The Fox Theater, Larimer Lounge, The Marquee. Recently she has also participated in playing festivals such as The Boulder Creek festival and The Taste of Colorado.
Teaching Experience: 6 months teaching on vocals, and 1 year teaching experience on guitar.
Teaching Philosophy: Heather loves to inspire her students to learn using their own creativity. Her students will learn skills often by writing their own riffs, melodies, and songs. In her teaching process, she thrives to make learning music as fun and memorable for the student so they can continue to grow successfully on their musical journey.
Get to know Heather Hunt
Heather Hunt is a Colorado native and resides currently in Westminster. She began her music journey at a young age, and has specialized in playing guitar and vocals. Recently Heather has just achieved a bachelors degree in guitar performance from Metropolitan State University. Other than teaching enthusiastic pupils, Heather plays in a variety groups among the Denver area (such as folk artist Devyn Rae, and indie soul band Dog Tags). Creativity in her eyes is the most memorable and fun way for her to teach music. Writing songs, riffs, and melodies in order to learn new musical skills is what Heather would love to help incorporate in lessons.
