Get to know Isaac Brooks Iii
Isaac started playing the guitar when he was about 10 years old, and took lessons from Nat King Cole's guitarist Irving Ashby. He took a break from guitar for a while until he was about 19 years old, when he attended El Camino College in California to study music. He started playing with bands around LA for about 6 years, and performed with the keyboard player from R&B band Rolls Royce. He did studio work with the Crusaders in California and then moved out to Georgia. He taught at Firehouse in Conyers for 4 years and played with the JW International Band in 2014 and 2019 at Buckhead theater, followed by some time time spent performing with the New Horizon band. After New Horizon, he opened his own music school, called Conyers Big Band. Isaac has been working with Music & Arts since March 2021. He and his wife perform at Senior Living facilities together in their spare time.
