About Jack Waters

Jack Waters is a versatile trumpet player from Annapolis, MD, with over 12 years of playing experience. Jack graduated from UMBC in 2024 as a Linehan Artist Scholar with an undergraduate degree in Jazz studies. He has studied with several renowned trumpet players including Nathan Warner, Tom Williams, Amy McCabe, Nadje Noordhuis, Brandon Craswell, and Phil Smith. Jack’s experience as an educator includes his ongoing tenure working with the Naptown Jazz kids organization and volunteer work at various schools in the Annapolis and Baltimore area. He is currently a member of Brunswick, a Baltimore-based jazz rock band that has performed extensively across the DMV area as well as New Jersey. Whether on the stage or in the classroom, Jack brings energy, enthusiasm, and a deep passion for music which translates to a positive, fun, and welcoming environment for all.
