About Jake Litton
Get to know Jake Litton
Hello! My name is Jake Litton and I am a Saxophone/Piano teacher here at Music and Arts in Marietta. I received my Bachelor’s in Music Education from Gardner-Webb University and have been teaching music to students since 2018. My teaching experience involves public school settings, music conservatory summer camps, and also 1 on 1 private lessons. I have been playing saxophone for 15 years, beginning in my middle school years and continuing to the present. During that time I have performed in many different ensembles: marching band, symphonic band, as a soloist for an orchestra, as well as performing in the pit for two musicals. Out of all of them, I would say our jazz band, directed by award-winning musician Wally West, was certainly the one I enjoyed most. These ensembles exposed me to many different genres of music and styles of teaching, which have shaped my understanding and love of music.
It is my greatest passion to guide others on their musical journeys, whether they are a beginner or experienced. Everyone deserves to have a chance to express themselves through music and I would love to be a part of your musical journey!
