Get to know Jake Sessanna

Jacob Sessanna is an intermediate drummer of 17 years. His intense focus on rock, alternative, and indie music crafted his style, which he currently utilizes in the two bands: Cooler and Mega Nostalgia. Cooler requires an indie/alternative effort on the drums, while Mega Nostalgia is supported percussively with an electronic edge. Jacob (Jake) has been in musical groups since the age of 14. He has vast experience in writing music from a percussive perspective, and widely promotes the exploration of one's musical talents via the drum set and working with others.

Jake studied under Cave Wilson for 6 years. Jake is familiar with rudimental studies and intends on studying music therapy in the future. To add, he has been trained in various musical styles such as jazz, fusion, and Latin American. He teaches at a professional level at Music & Arts. Collegiately, Jake attended Berklee College of Music, receiving a Certificate in General Music Studies. His influences include bands like Radiohead, Death Cab For Cutie, and Pinback, and drum clinicians like Benny Greb, Thomas Lang, Chris Coleman, and JoJo Mayer.
