About James Subosits

James Subosits is a passionate trombonist, pianist, arranger, and educator based in Columbia, SC. He has a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of South Carolina, and plays with the 246th Army Band in Eastover, SC and the South Carolina Brass Band.

He has been teaching low brass students for 6 years to students of all ages and ability levels. His students have gone on to play in region bands, all-state bands & orchestras, top 3 drum corps, and major in music in college.

When he’s not playing music, he’s probably teaching music. If he’s not teaching music, then he’s probably listening to music. If he’s not listening to music, it’s likely that he’s arranging music. If he’s not doing that, you might catch him writing about himself in the third person.
