About Jamie Cunningham

Jamie has been writing, recording and performing music live for 15 years.
A Syracuse native, Jamie graduated from Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles, California with an Associates Degree in Guitar Performance. You can currently see him playing shows all throughout Central New York - both as a solo guitar and vocalist, as well as with his original band, The Dirty Doves.

He specializes teaching music in the styles of rock ‘n’ roll, folk, americana, blues, country, celtic and pop, with expertise in teaching guitar techniques of lead electric and acoustic guitar, rhythm electric and acoustic guitar, finger-style guitar, dobro and lapsteel slide guitar.

He loves teaching beginners, but welcomes any and all levels of playing experience. The lessons are structured based on the student’s individual desires and goals of what they are looking to get out of the instrument. Above all, he believes in making every lesson fun! For we don’t serious music, we play music.
