Get to know Jamie Dixon

Started my musical journey at age 8 with private instruction continued through high school where I participated in Marching Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band ,Drumline.

Receving many awards in group and individual competition as Drum captain and section 1^st chair instructing many of the members. Then started performing with numerous bands and ensemble in college and throughout southern California.

I graduated Musicians Institute and worked on many television shows and Movies (Tonight Show, Arsenio Hall, Byron Allen, Sister Act ll, Children of the corn lll ,Poison Ivy ll, to name a few). Toured for Leftbank mngt. As audio engineer. (C+C Music Factory, Markey Mark, Rythem Syndicate). All while teaching privately.

Taught at Encinitas School of Music, YMCA, Recreation Departments and various school districts as well as teaching privately. Moved to Connecticut in May of 2023 and am excited to continue to teach and continue my musical journey.
