Get to know Jasmine Quraishi
Jasmine is a violinist pursuing Music Education and Music Performance degrees at Mason Gross School of the Arts - Rutgers University. She has been playing the violin for 13 years. She has studied violin with Luciné Chaglassian-Balikian (McGill Conservatory of Music in Montreal), Joseph Gluck (NJ Symphony Orchestra) and Dr. Elena Chernova-Davis (Mason Gross). Jasmine has performing experiences on both the violin and viola in multiple kinds of ensembles, including orchestras, chamber groups and pit orchestras for musicals and opera. Additionally, she attended the summer music festival at Brevard Music Center in North Carolina for three summers where she studied with Byron Tauchi (Louisiana Philharmonic). Jasmine loves listening to and playing a variety of genres of music, including classical styles, Broadway musicals and film music, especially Disney!
