Performance Experience:
I've played with bands, and jammed with many musicians across the Houston area for the past 4 years. I did indoor drumline in high school before that.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught beginners in both music, and other activities like boxing. I'm largely self taught, so I had to break everything down to its finest components to really understand everything. I've been playing, learning, and performing for over 9 years.
Teaching Philosophy:
I aim to provide a solid sense of rhythm through meaningful exercises and playing along to music you like. Having songs you are eager to play will be easy and efficient way to set goals. The more we build your repertoire, the more skills you will naturally acquire over time. We will supplement the songs with exercises that will help stick control and coordination.

Get to know Jeff Davis
Grooving is my thing. Drums are the heartbeat of all popular music, and I just want to share it with my students. I listen to everything from the Isley brothers, Sabrina Carpenter, American Football, and slum village. I want to encourage my students to discover their own tastes, and be able to play along to their favorite artists. We will work on the fundamentals of drumming, both on the kit and rudiments. The fundamentals we will build will be a solid foundation you will take with you on the rest of your musical journey.
