About Jennifer Chilton

Jennifer started taking violin lessons in 3rd grade and loved every minute of playing the violin. Music was a huge part of her life; in junior high and high school she participated in school and every community orchestra around. She majored in Music Education at the University of Iowa where she completed her Bachelors and Masters. After graduation, Jennifer moved to Arizona to begin her teaching career. She spent 33 years teaching elementary and junior high orchestra in several public school districts in the valley. During this time, she also performed with the Mesa Symphony for 15 years and various church groups. Jennifer is the mother of 3 grown children and now has 2 grandchildren. She and her husband have recently retired, so they are enjoying spending time with their family and doing some traveling. She has been teaching private violin and viola lessons since she was in college, and she really enjoys working with each student individually and watching them grow and master their instrument.
