About Jennifer Jackson
Get to know Jennifer Jackson
Jennifer Lloyd holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, and a master’s degree from University of Missouri – Columbia. She completed all but her dissertation towards a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from University of Maryland – College Park. Her former teachers include Jacob Berg, James Pellerite, Richard Graef, Alexander Murry, Peter Lloyd, and Christina Smith.
Jennifer is passionate about teaching. She has served as a preschool and lower school music teacher and woodwind ensemble coach, while maintaining a private flute studio. She enjoys playing chamber music, and currently performs with a local woodwind ensemble.
Jennifer uses an encouraging, positive approach to teach technical and expressive development, inspiring students to achieve both a standard of excellence and love of music.
