About Jeremy Myung
Get to know Jeremy Myung
Jeremy Myung is a violinist with a Bachelor's in Music Performance. Before attending university, he was the concertmaster of the Temple City High School Honors Orchestra, section leader of the Colburn Youth Orchestra, and a member of the Colburn Chamber Orchestra. When he applied for university, Jeremy received a full scholarship for music and chose to attend Andrews University. Throughout his time at Andrews University, Jeremy was the concertmaster of the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra. He also won the Young Artist Competition in 2018 and 2020, which led him to perform concertos accompanied by the orchestra. In addition to performing, Jeremy also dedicated time to further his musical education by taking classes in violin pedagogy. His mentor was Professor Carla Trynchuk, a student of the late violin pedagogue Dorothy Delay. Upon graduating, Jeremy studied violin under Dr. Lyndon Johnston Taylor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He was accepted into the Master of Music program at UCLA, which he deferred. Currently, Jeremy teaches violin and regularly plays for weddings, churches, and choirs. In addition to his love of playing and teaching violin, he also enjoys other aspects of music such as guitar, music theory, composition, and audio engineering.
