Get to know Jerry Chiusano
Gerard (Jerry) Chiusano began piano studies at the age of 4, and has been playing ever since. He is an accomplished pianist and composer, holds Master degrees in theology and music, and is completing his Ph.D in music composition from Rutgers University, where he has served as a member of the Music Theory and Music Composition faculty.
He has performed both in the theatre and in churches for more than 30 years, and has played off-Broadway for the original production of "The Fantasticks" in New York City. As a composer he has written music for PBS' miniseries "Stars on Stage," which aired in January of 2022. His opera, "Macbeth," is scheduled for performance in New York City in 2026.
His sacred music is published primarily by OCP of Portland, Oregon, and his recordings can be heard on all streaming services.
