About Joan Fitzgerald
Get to know Joan Fitzgerald
For years, I was back and forth as to what my purpose in life was to be. I finally came to the realization the summer before I left for college, that music was to be an integral part of my life. I began taking voice lessons, thus beginning my ongoing musical journey. In 2000, I graduated from Emmanuel College with a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance. Later, I went on to complete my Master of Arts in Teaching degree. I was given the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall with two separate choirs. I have taught Vocal and Piano lessons since graduating in 2000. During my years of teaching, I have worked with students ranging in age from 4 to 80. I believe that music is a language that transcends all ways of thinking. It can be a bridge that connects all people into an agreement that music mimics the experiences of life.
