About John Potocnik

John has been teaching drums for over five years and has been playing for over a decade. As a performer, he currently plays with several original bands and artist: crash the calm, Phil Firetog, and Salina Solomon to name a few. John has a bachelors degree in performance  and a concentration in audio recording technology. John is a qualified NYSSMA instructor who strives for exceptional success with all levels of: snare drum, drum set, and other percussion. John believes in a balance between progress and entertaining as he has his lessons consist of; reading, writing, listening, and improvisation amongst all musical drumming styles. He is: extremely patient, friendly, and relates well to children and adults alike. He aims to not only expand their horizons , but their technique  and connectivity with them and other musicians so that they may further submerge themselves in the world of music and it's Joy!
