      Get to know John Pritchett

I picked up my first guitar at age 15, an acoustic.   Classic rock, but especially the Beatles were big influences.  45 years later, I've played lead guitar and bass guitar in some pretty good bands, with some special musicians, in Maryland, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.  My guitar playing has evolved from learning songs I could sing along to, then to instrumental music, and fingerstyle.  I think the way I learned best was to have some friends show me some chords and riffs, and then I would also listen and re-listen to songs over and over until I worked out all the parts.  I'm very motivated to help my students achieve what they are aiming for in their guitar playing.
