About Joseph Weaver

Education: Bachelor of Arts from Towson State University in Guitar Performance. Lucky enough to have studied with Hank Levy

Performance Experience: Played in numerous top 40 bands since the 1980’s. Played in Rex Hunter in the early 1990’s/ signed to a development deal with Atlantic Records - support band for Quiet Riot, Warrant, Kix and numerous other 80’s “hair bands”. Recording sessions for numerous artists. Currently own my own studio.

Teaching Experience: 30 years of instruction with Music and Arts. Taught Rock Band at Archbishop Curley.

Teaching Philosophy: 1. Music is meant to be fun. 2. I try to keep lessons as “real world” as possible and encourage students to play music THEY want to play. 3. My favorite quote: “Learn the rules of boxing but how to fight like a street fighter"
