Performance Experience: I have performed with the D'Iberville High School Band from 2005-2009, MGCCC Band of Gold Band from 2009-2012, the MGCCC Indoor Drumline during 2012. In 2012, I transferred to Delta State University where I performed with the marching band, concert and wind ensemble, world percussion groups, pep band, low brass ensemble groups and solo performances and completed my degree in 2016.
Since 2016, I have conducted and taught marching, concert and jazz bands, private lessons and master classes.

Get to know Josh Rushing
Hello my name is Josh Rushing and I am currently the Band Director at Philadelphia High School.
Prior to teaching at Philadelphia High School, I started out teaching at Cleveland Central High School and then at Clarkdale High School. I have worked as an Assistant Band Director and Head Band Director along with being a Jazz Band Director.
When I am not working at the school I am playing bass guitar for the New Hope Baptist Church.
