About Josh Torres

Proficient with both, the jazz and classical genres, Josh Torres credits his development to his experiences performing in the Marine Corps prior to earning his Masters of Music degree at Texas State University and Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Arlington. He has performed in a variety of trumpet sections and musical ensembles as well as had the privilege of being featured soloist for two of the four locations he was stationed at over his twelve-year military career. Traveling around the world performing music is one of the luxuries Josh signed up for. He has not only performed around the world, but he has also had the distinct privilege of giving private lessons and master classes to brass students and ensembles during these tours.

Josh hopes that the learning lessons in the classroom and as a professional has equipped him with the necessary tools to become a small business owner as he pursues his long-term goal as an educator.
