About Joshua Bonifas
Get to know Joshua Bonifas
Joshua is a bassist and educator currently studying at Bunker Hill College in Boston, with a focus on Music Performance and Education. A native of southern New Hampshire, he began his love of playing the bass and drums at age 14. Joshua has performed in many diverse ensembles and is greatly influenced by jazz and improvisational music. Additionally, he has studied at the annual Berklee College of Music: Bass & Percussion Groove School, and Arlington based jazz workshops at Morningside Music Studio. As an educator, he focuses on helping students achieve their goals and believes that everyone has a natural ability to learn and share in the joy of music.
Joshua currently plays in the Bunker Hill jazz band and is the bassist for the Saturday Evening Grooves Artist Residency at the Chagall Performance Arts Collective in Salem, Massachusetts.
