About Julia Steidle
Get to know Julia Steidle
Hello! My name is Julia; I'm a messo-soprano from Argyle, NY. I grew up in a family that was always listening to music, usually country, classic rock, or contemporary Christian music. I loved to sing, and throughout grade school and high school, I took every opportunity I had to sing in school, church, and community choirs. This eventually led to an interest in musical threatre, which I performed throughout high school. I decided to pursue music performance in college. While studying my undergraduate degree at Roberts Wesleyan University, I discovered a love for classical music, which has become my primary area of study. I then pursued a master's degree at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, where I continued to study classical music.
While I pursued performance throughout college and graduate school, my courses provided opportunities to teach voice lessons to my peers and the community. I developed an instinct and a talent for teaching voice students. I'm passionate about helping others discover their voices, and I love collaborating with students to achieve their goals during voice lessons. It is such a joy to be part of someone's journey, and it's an honor and a privilege to help someone discover their musical potential.
I have a background in classical music, opera, musical theatre, and choral music. I also have some experience with sacred music and jazz, and I am always eager to learn about other genres!
