Get to know Kalan Culkin
I have been playing saxophone and clarinet for over 20 years. I studied music at Metropolitan State University of Denver studying saxophone with Mark Harris, clarinet with Gregory Dufford in addition to performing in every ensemble available to me. In my career, I have been fortunate enough to share a stage with Don Byron, Maria Schneider, Marshall Allen and Wayne Horvitz. Playing varied styles of music has always been an emphasis of mine, having performed Classical, Jazz, Funk, R&B, and various styles of Rock music. I have taught music theory as well as woodwind lessons for over 10 years and am looking forward to sharing that experience with the community.
