About Karen Martins

Karen Martins was born in Brazil and started to play the violin when she was 7 years old in a social project named “Guri". She studied in the most important music schools in São Paulo, with teachers from OSESP (São Paulo Symphony Orchestra – one of the most outstanding orchestras in Brazil), and the Municipal Theater. Miss Martins also participated in several music festivals in her home country and one in Europe, the Prague Summer Festival.  
At the age of sixteen, she became a member of the Baccarelli Institute Orchestra having performed under the baton of Isaac Karabtchevsky, Edilson Ventureli, and with guests as tenor Jose Carreras. In 2017 she got a scholarship to study at Azusa Pacific University and decided to try her life abroad.
Miss Martins graduated from her Artist Certificate in May 2020. She is currently enrolled in her second semester of Undergrad as Violin Performance Major, with full scholarship, under the guidance of Prof. Ingrid Chun, a member of the L.A Philharmonic.
