About Katelyn Segarra

Katelyn Segarra is a Latin-American coloratura soprano currently attending Texas State University as a Vocal Performance major and a Dance minor. She is from Houston, and hopes to bring her love for music and performance beyond Texas.

Katelyn attended Seven Lakes High School and was an active member of the Seven Lakes Choir Program for all four years. She performed in the Sub-Varsity Women’s Choir, Varsity Chorale, and Sensations Show Choir. She went on to perform for various events on behalf of the choir and performed in the biannual musical at Seven Lakes. She won countless awards while there including various UIL awards, a directors award, and a scholarship to the university of her choice.

She went on to attend Texas State University and will be going into her sophomore year in the Fall 2022 semester. She is active in the school of music, helping with Bobcat Days, running supertitles for the Spring 2022 production of “Xerxes”, and is a current School of Music Ambassador.
