Education: University of North Texas, Denton Doctoral studies in voice and analytical systems in music theory and a research seminar in Czech Republic, including solo concerts at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno University of Wyoming School of Music Master of Music with Distinction in Vocal Performance and Bachelor of Music with Distinction in Vocal Performance
Performance Experience: Kathryn Garber's opera roles include Marina in Boris Godunov with Jerome Hines at Cleveland Opera and Des Moines Metro Opera. Wagner roles include Flosshilde, Rossweisse and Elsa (Wagner Society of New York) and Fricka with San Francisco Opera Society. Equally at home on the concert stage, Kathryn also performed musical theater concerts with Idaho Summerfest and Dallas Symphony Orchestra. As a collaborative pianist, Kathryn performed regularly with Tarrant County Community Colleges.
Teaching Experience: Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts Piano and Vocal Music Teacher, Responsibilities included private lessons and pedagogy. Billings Central High School Responsibilities included assistant choir director, collaborative pianist, voice teacher, and small ensemble concerts. Tarrant County Community College Responsibilities included opera direction and production, private studio teaching, music department administration, budget and personnel coordination and faculty search committees.
Teaching Philosphy: My Teaching Philosophy is to 'partner' with each and every student to discover and develop the wonderful CELEBRATION OF THE GIFTS each person has within them! Music is the International Language that we all aspire to share and to express what is within the Human Spirit that allows the Soul to evolve and express itself!

Classical solo artist engagements include Seattle Opera, Dallas Opera, Central City Opera, Cleveland Opera, Florentine Opera, Arizona Opera, Dallas Symphony, Denver Symphony, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Boise Summer Festival, McCall Summer Festival, and Shreveport Symphony. Teaching experience includes vocal department chair at Tarrant County Colleges, University of Texas at Arlington Voice Faculty and Dallas County Community College: El Centro Humanities Division Faculty. She played the Mother Spirit in the Trail of Tears drama/musical at Tsa-la-gi outdoor amphitheater in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
