Performance Experience: During my time at Nazareth College, I performed with several ensembles including the Nazareth College Wind Symphony, Concert Band, Saxophone Ensemble, and Saxophone Quartet. I performed at the CBDNA Conference at the Yale School of Music with the Wind Symphony in the spring of 2018 and the ECMEA Conference with the Saxophone Ensemble in the spring of 2019. I also performed several audition-based solo recitals, including an hour-long Senior Honors Recital on the alto and soprano saxophones.
Teaching Experience: During my student teaching experience, I taught UPK-5th grade general music, and middle school band rehearslas and lessons. I spent the first two years of my career teaching middle school general music and band. This year I will be teaching elementary and middle school band and lessons.
Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is heavily based on the idea that all students deserve a quality music education. It is important to me to make my students feel comfortable and enthusiastic about making progress on their instrumet in a supportive and encouraging environment. I want my students to feel that they are getting an individualizes education based on their talents and abilities and work with them to improve their musicianship.
