Performance Experience: Kenny has been playing the trumpet since he joined band in 6th grade here at New Braunfels Middle School. He has been dedicated to trumpet throughout his middle and high school years and now plays in the Symphonic Winds and Jazz Orchestra at Texas State University.
Teaching Experience: Kenny was a marching tech over at New Braunfels High School during the 2021 season. He is currently getting a Music Education degree and has been learning much about pedagogy and musicianship since he began his journey at Texas State in Fall 2021.
Teaching Philosophy: Kenny believes anyone can learn to love and live through music. Trumpet is an instrument that takes lots of air and focus, but all things are achievable with the right mindset. The store has all the books the local schools request for beginners and Kenny himself has a lot of his own technique books to work out of as well for intermediate to advance players.
Get to know Kenny Huntsman
Kenny Huntsman is a local to the New Braunfels area. He started his trumpet journey back in 2014 and has dedicated many hours and years into perfecting his skills. He has performance experience in both classical and jazz trumpet and is currently studying at Texas State to become a Music Educator. His drive and passion for music has inspired him to pass the gift of music onto others in whatever ways he can. He is excited to be able to give back to his community and bring about new trumpet players to the area. He is great with kids and adults and is open to helping anyone who is willing to put in the hard work.
