About Kev Nenkov
Get to know Kev Nenkov
Kev Nenkov (they/them) is a recent graduate of the University of the Arts in Center City, Philadelphia, majoring in Music Composition and Theory. Having 10+ years of music knowledge and experience, they are thrilled to be apart of the Music and Arts team teaching beginner-advanced Guitar and Bass, as well as beginner Violin and Viola.
Kev studied composition under David Bennett Thomas and Norman David, as well as conducting and rehearsal technique from Jeffery Kern, choir director of the Philly POPS Festival Chorus. During their time at UArts, they became Band Director at Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School, where they still teach today. In addition to teaching, the regularly perform in pit orchestras in South Jersey (most recently SPRING AWAKENING and MEMPHIS at The Grand Theatre, Williamstown NJ), as well as being Music Director for the musical SCHOOL OF ROCK at the The Ritz Theatre in Haddon Township, NJ. Kev also plays in a few bands local to Philadelphia including "Precious Little Life", who recently went on tour last year down the East Coast.
Kev is so excited to be able to share their love of music to anyone and everyone! They want to teach you music that you enjoy, not what the "norm" expects. Be weird, be crazy, be fun! Make a statement; YOUR statement.
