Get to know Kevin Haberberger
Kevin Haberberger began playing guitar in 2003 at the age of 13. As soon as he picked it up he fell in love with the instrument and within a year and a half was teaching at the studio where he took lessons.
Since then, his love of music has never stopped. After playing in multiple bands and churches throughout high school, Kevin attended university to study music in 2008. During his college years, he played with numerous ensembles, both curricular and extra-curricular, including touring in many major cities on the weekends. He graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors of Music in jazz.
After graduating, Kevin returned home to St. Louis and began to pursue teaching more seriously while still playing in different bands. Throughout the years, he has taught hundreds of students from all ages, skill levels, and musical tastes. While jazz, blues, music theory and other improvisational forms of music are where his academic expertise lies, Kevin has performed in numerous rock, funk, pop, bluegrass, and folk bands.
In 2014 Kevin became a teacher at Music and Arts, which has become the focus of his teaching efforts since. He is passionate about teaching his students in a way to make them not only improve their talents but cultivate a love of music while doing so.
