About Kevin Walker

Kevin Walker is a multifaceted percussionist, drummer, and educator with a strong background in jazz and classical music. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies and a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Temple University. As an educator, Kevin teaches percussion at The Pennington School, where he also coaches ensembles. He has also maintained a private drum and percussion teaching practice since 2016.

As a performer, Kevin works as a freelance jazz drummer, collaborating with artists like Mike Boone, Sumi Tonooka, Tom Lawton, and Bobby Zankel. He is also a sought-after orchestral percussionist, regularly performing with ensembles such as the University of Pennsylvania Symphony and the Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra. His diverse performance experience includes pit work for theater companies and opera festivals, as well as stints as a house band drummer and member of indie bands in Philadelphia.
