Performance Experience: Kira has been playing bassoon in West Chester University's Wind Symphony for two years, and has marched with the West Chester Golden Rams Marching Band for two years on clarinet and baritone. She has sung in West Chester's Cantari Donne for one year, as well as WCU's oldest acapella group, The Suspensions.
Teaching Philosophy: Kira focuses on creating a fun and engaging learning environment. Her goal is to have these first steps in music be inspiring. Kira uses interactive methods to teach the basic foundations. Playing the instrument, clapping, or singing is a great toolbox of methods to keep the student's attention and develop different ways of processing the music they hear and create. Kira aims to keep lessons engaging by alternating the approach to different topics and having something new and exciting every week
Get to know Kira Bosko
Kira is incredibly excited to be teaching beginner woodwind lessons. She strives to create a safe, creative, and fun learning environment for her students, and encourages students to practice music they are passionate about.
Kira is currently in her junior year at West Chester University obtaining her bachelors degree in Music Education on her primary instrument, bassoon. She is currently enrolled in the West Chester University Wind Symphony, a chamber winds group, as well as an acapella group called The Suspensions. Kira loves teaching younger children, and hopes to teach primary or elementary general music after getting her degree.
