Teaching Philosophy: Music is an essential part of our lives by aiding in our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual development. Music gives us the ability to create, to move, and to communicate. A deeper appreciation for music itself in combination with musical literacy will create the opportunity for us to engage fully in the world around us. Krista teaches music with energy, enthusiasm, as well as her wide variety of experiences to create the optimal learning environment for each student.
Get to know Krista Pack
Krista began playing the piano at the age of 6 and flute at the age of 8. Throughout high school and college, Krista had the opportunity to perform in a variety of ensembles as well as to perform in flute masterclasses with many well-renowned flutists. Krista graduated from George Mason University in 2017 with a bachelor's of music education degree. From 2017-2021, Krista taught preschool and elementary general music, middle school and high school choir, and middle school and high school band to students of a wide variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds at Wuhan Yangtze International School in Wuhan, China. Krista is currently the chorus teacher at North Charleston High School.
