About Kristine Harner

Get to know Kristine Harner
Kristine began playing the violin at the age of 4 using the Suzuki Method and has been playing and teaching ever since. Over the years she has played first violin in numerous orchestras including the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra, UMW Philharmonic, National Youth Suzuki Orchestra, All-Virginia Orchestra, and the Manassas Symphony Orchestra. She won first place in the Piedmont Symphony Young Artist competition. Kristine earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Washington where she had the opportunity to perform with celebrity musicians including violin virtuoso Joshua Bell, singer Tony Bennett, and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth. In addition to teaching violin, she currently works in the Product Development department at Stride, Inc. where she designs and develops e-learning courses for K-12 education.
