About Laurel Wettstein

Hi! My name is Laurel Wettstein, and I am passionate about teaching music at any level, whether you are looking to just play for fun or want to start your journey towards mastering your instrument!  I started playing the viola when I was 7 years old.  I learned several other instruments in grade school, but viola was the one that stuck.  When I was in high school, I was a volunteer orchestra teacher at an elementary school and I fell in love with teaching and music.  I decided to study music education in college.  I later graduated with a Bachelor's of Music Education Composite degree with an Orchestra emphasis from Brigham Young University - Idaho.  I have had many students throughout my time as a music teacher, and seeing them grow and improve is my favorite thing in the world. I currently am a graduate student at Colorado State University studying Music Therapy, working towards earning a Master's degree.  I look forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve your musical goals!
