About Lauren Holtshouser

Miss Holtshouser holds a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from The Hartt School and a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from UNC-Chapel Hill. A versatile performer, she has played in orchestras, brass ensembles, and musicals, including an international tour of The Sound of Music across China. She has won the Paranov Concerto Competition, recorded as a featured soloist on a NAXOS release, and led ensembles to national recognition.

As an educator, Lauren specializes in high school and college-level instruction but welcomes students of all ages who are eager to learn. She has taught at Centre Music House and The Hartt School Community Division, including work with underprivileged students through the Gifts of Music initiative. She tailors her lessons to each student’s goals, focusing on technique, musicality, and confidence to help them grow as musicians.
