Get to know Lilli Elliott

Hello, I am Lilli Elliott and I have been playing the cello for the past thirteen years. I began my studies with cello in the sixth grade and throughout my middle and high school I attended private art schools that rigorously developed and helped grow my passion for music. I attended  Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland, Florida and it is there that I gained tremendous experience in being in a symphonic orchestra, small string ensembles, solo studies, and musical theatre productions in the pit orchestra. My high school knowledge prepared me for pursuing my BM in Music Performance at Jacksonville University where I was awarded the music merit scholarship, and performed in countless ensembles, performances, and gigs.  Throughout my time in college I continued studying classical cello and also branched out into genres of contemporary, jazz, and baroque styles. I was principal cellist of the JU Symphony Orchestra for two years and actively gigged and taught private students while in Jacksonville as well, including mentoring and coaching young cellists in summer camps. I have taught ages ranging from 6-40’s and also first time music readers. I have a passion for teaching in general and I love that I can combine that with music. I will be graduating from USF in Spring 2021 with my bachelors degree. I am proficient in teaching Cello (Beginning-Advanced), and Violin and Viola (Beginning) and I duel teach at the Brandon, Florida location.
