Performance Experience: Lillian has performed with North Carolina Central University's Vocal Jazz Ensemble, University Choir, Jazz Ensemble (piano), and Jazz Combo (piano & voice) at numerous events and venues. She has experience performing classical piano and voice both on and off NCCU's campus, and regularly performs as a singer with her own group in the Jazz, R&B, & Soul categories.
Teaching Experience: Teaching private lessons for 4 years. Completed music education program at North Carolina Central University which involved classroom observation and a semester of teaching high school chorus.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe that music education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, learning ability, or any other factor of diversity. My role as a teacher is to not only give students the chance to explore their musical abilities, but to enrich their lives with the joy of music. I like to shape my lessons to what the students' personal goals are in their instrument, giving them the tools to reach their fullest potential while also making sure we are having fun!

Hello! My name is Lillian and I am a singer, pianist, educator, and composer/arranger. I'm a recent graduate of North Carolina Central University's wonderful music program, receiving a B.A. in Music with concentrations in Music Education and Jazz Studies. During my undergraduate years, I have performed in the classical and jazz categories in both voice and piano. I also spent a semester student teaching high school chorus. I hope to share with my students the skills and valuable lessons I have learned from my music career!
