About Liz Sinn

Elizabeth (Liz) Sinn is a jazz and classical pianist, composer, songwriter, and arranger from South Florida, and has been playing piano for fourteen years. She began her musical studies as a classical pianist, and has since developed a love for performing contemporary and jazz music as well.

Liz is a graduate of Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, where she was highly involved in the music department as a member of the top jazz band and top jazz combo, piano department, concert band and philharmonic orchestra. During Liz’s tenure in these ensembles, the Dreyfoos top jazz groups were honored multiple times as co-winners of Downbeat Magazine’s Student Music Awards in the categories of Small Jazz Combo (2020), Latin Group (2020), and Large Jazz Ensemble (2019-2020). Outside of school, Liz has been very active in the jazz scene, gigging at various venues including the Breakers Hotel, Kravis Center, Palm Beach Convention Center, and James Patterson’s residence. She has been giving lessons to younger students for the past couple of years, both independently and with Dreyfoos’ Arts Camp program. This year, Liz was the first place recipient of the Palm Beach Post Pathfinder Scholarship in the Instrumental Music category. She has received substantial music scholarship offers from University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music, Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Conservatory, The New School, University of North Florida, Florida State University, and Berklee College of Music. Liz is currently attending her second semester at Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship, double majoring in Jazz Performance and Contemporary Writing & Production.
