Get to know Luke Studnicka

Luke Studnicka began his musical endeavor under the direction of Dr. Carolyn Broe (Conductor & Violist, Four Seasons Orchestra), privately studying the violin for nine years. Most recently, he studied the violin under the direction of Karen Bea (Violist, Phoenix Symphony). Throughout private instruction he was very active in the music community at Horizon High School where he played as concertmaster for his last two years. In addition to Horizon’s Orchestra, he competed and participated in the AMEA Regional and Honor Orchestras for his Junior and Senior year. Luke also held principal second violin for the North Valley Youth Orchestra in 2018.

In addition leading Horizon’s orchestra, he also led volunteer work with Tri-M Music Honor Society at Desert Shadows Middle School and Sunrise Elementary. During his time with Tri-M Music Honor Society, he provided free-of-charge individual learning experiences to students looking to improve upon their musical skills. Beside his volunteer teaching experience, Luke has led countless sectional practices in orchestral settings where he  cultivated both individual and group progress.

In 2020, while pursuing Nursing School prerequisites, Luke was invited as concertmaster for the ASU Philharmonia Orchestra and studied under the direction of Julie Desbordes and Sunny Xia during that time.

Luke teaches both Suzuki and Essential Elements string methods and welcomes all skill levels from beginner to advanced students.
