Teaching Philosophy: Teaching Music is more than just about technique and what is written on the page. It is the expression, emotion, and communication that I as a teacher want to teach my students to learn through their instrument. Music is so much more than what you see and hear, it is what you feel.

Get to know Mackenzie Miller

Mackenzie Miller is currently a Senior Music Education Major with a concentration in Oboe and English Horn at The College of New Jersey. She plays in the College Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, and String Quartet. She currently studies under Mark Snyder. So far, her experiences include playing for the Princeton Girl Choir, Pit in High School Musical Productions, and performing in multiple community bands across the Tri-State area. She believes the oboe is a rare, fun, and beautiful instrument to learn and cannot wait to teach in her own classroom setting starting Fall 2022!
