Maia Gonzalez is a classically trained soprano pursuing her Graduate Degree at the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Ashley Putnam. Ms. Gonzalez has been accepted as a Young Artist into the Monterrey Summer Opera Academy for the 2022 season and will perform the role of Giannetta in Donizetti’s L’Elisir D’Amore, conducted by maestro Felipe Tristán. 

She has previously participated in the Isabel Leonard Masterclass at the Manhattan School of Music and is equally looking forward to participating in the Dolora Zajick Masterclass and Aria Concert series at the Monterrey Summer Opera Academy this coming August, 2022.

Recently Maia made her opera debut as Zweite Dame for the Manhattan School of Music’s production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte prior to completing her Bachelors Degree and Graduation Recital. 

Before embarking on her undergraduate and graduate studies, Maia studied in the precollege division of the Manhattan School of Music and was a winner in the Schmidt competition and George London Scholarship.
