About Malik Johnson

Hi! My name is Malik. I’m a violist and Elementary General Music Teacher based in Concord, NC. I earned my B.M. in Music Education at UNC Charlotte. During my time at UNCC, I was the principal violist for the UNC Charlotte Chamber Orchestra. My passion for music has led me to be an in-demand performer in the Charlotte classical and alternative music scene. As a freelance violinist/violist, I have played in orchestras throughout North and South Carolina and as far abroad as Montreal, Canada and Israel. I believe that music brings people together and has the power to bridge gaps words cannot do on their own.
