      Teaching Philosophy: I strive to instill a love and respect for music. The environment I seek as a teacher is one that is supportive and individualized. Each student is unique and here is no single style of teaching that fits all individuals. Developing a relationship and educational rapport with students is determining the type of learning style that works. Together, we will identify their strengths and weaknesses to create a list of goals for a personalized and systematic plan for musical growth.

      Get to know Marco Reyes

       My name is Marco Reyes.  I recently relocated to Richardson from San Antonio in May of 2022.  I am one of the private piano teachers at this location.  My music training began as a child, learning to play the guitar and drums for our church choir then, I began piano lessons at the age of 11 with my piano teacher, Zelda.  Over the course of 8 years, I expanded my knowledge and grew to love music in every form through various technical exercises and pieces, as well as music theory. 

      My experience in taking lessons and learning various band instruments during my middle school and high school years, lead me to studying music in college.  During my years in college, I was given the opportunity to teach private lessons under the supervision of my former teacher and taught keyboarding classes for the non-profit, Network for Young Artists.  In May of 2014, I graduated with my Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Music Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio and I currently hold a Music (EC-12) certification through the State of Texas Board of Education.  I had the opportunity to teach in the public school system as an Assistant Band Director for a few years before a career change out of public school education.

      In May of 2021, I graduated with my Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and currently work as an Analyst in the payment industry full-time.

      In my spare time, I enjoy walks with my dog, cuddles with my cat, hiking and spending time with friends and family.  

      I look forward to building a studio with Music & Arts and passing on my knowledge to my students.
