About Margaret Moriarty

Hi. I have enjoyed teaching students with Music and the Arts since the summer of 2013. I teach Voice, Piano and beginner Guitar. While I enjoy teaching students at any level, my favorite aspect about teaching is to be a part of helping a person go from being a beginner to developing their skill and becoming quite talented! It’s very satisfying to help someone else along to a place where they can really enjoy their own abilities as a singer, pianist or guitarist. Often, they go on to share their talent with others and put a smile on many faces. Of course, the best students are the ones who have a consistent practice schedule and are able to carry it out! I have taught students as young as 5 and as old as fifty something. I enjoy all ages.

I graduated from Ohio State University in Music Education in 1979 with a major in Voice. I took Voice, Piano and Guitar lessons myself for many years. I currently also teach elementary Music at a local private school called Tree of Life. This will be my sixth school year there. My husband and I have lived in this area and been married for 35 years. We have 2 adult children, a son-in-law and 2 grandchildren.
