Teaching Philosophy: Music is an integral part of human culture on many levels, from the fundamental rhythms of life such as the beating of the heart to great works of art. Thus, music is unique in being a vehicle through which people can express both the trivial and the profound. Music is a special in that it can act as a means of spanning the gaps between the intellectual, the physical, and the spiritual. I firmly believe that every person has the capacity to express and enhance themselves with music!

He frequently plays organ, harpsichord, and piano with ChorSinfonica and the Rockville Bach Academy based in Rockville, MD. with their bi-yearly conversation concerts. He was one of the five "government approved" private contract organists for Weddings and funerals at the Fort Myer Army Base in Arlington, VA, and has served as aural programmer and synthesist for diverse area theatrical groups and for the Washington Vocal Consortium, all of the greater metropolitan DC area. He has composed numerous other choral pieces on commission from churches in North Carolina and New Hampshire. “Mr. Mark”, as the children he works with call him, enthusiastically loves the fact that music education is one of the most totally engaging of art forms and disciplines - one that encompasses the whole person - mind, body, and soul.
